I did a double take when I saw this contraption on an Ala Moana Blvd sidewalk. Love the heavy chains. But what is this about? Some jury-rigged wooden box! What is its function? What is holding what in place? STRANGE! On the other hand, a group of Japanese tourists walking behind me must have thought that I was strange for stopping and taking pictures of this thing.
I have no idea what this is, or why it would require so many heavy-duty padlocks. Could have easily secured four or more bicycles with that equipment. If you find out, spread the word. Curiosity aroused.
