As...Yes, we've seen the seals at the Aquarium. As entertaining as they are, I always find trained animals a little sad, though. This was the first time for me to see a wild one up close. Also the first time to speak with one of the volunteer monitors of Hawaiian monk seals. I had no idea how much love, time and dedication that requires. They're out there every day, roping off areas, taking turns to keep the animals safe from the public. And when a mother seal gives birth, they keep watch 24/7 for 40 days in a row, or until the pubs are on their own. No wonder they call themselves Monk Seal Maniacs.Elshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16501920374164146093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7448987318729835210.post-29381439400684575022010-12-31T07:28:41.730-10:002010-12-31T07:28:41.730-10:00The following link will take you to my post about ...The following link will take you to my post about the Aquarium and the seals:

http://gigihawaii.wordpress.com/2008/11/17/waikiki-nov-15-2008/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7448987318729835210.post-65993383108719640102010-12-31T04:41:45.501-10:002010-12-31T04:41:45.501-10:00Elsha, have you seen the 2 Hawaiian Monk Seals at ...Elsha, have you seen the 2 Hawaiian Monk Seals at the Waikiki Aquarium?
